Food tours are a must for me in new cities, and this one was quite good. My guide, Bob, was fun and well-informed. The food was substantial and reflective of the area. At the first stop, we had soda, then half a glass of wine at the second and a full glass at the third; I would have preferred full pours at both earlier stops. We had dessert at the fourth stop, and I opted to take it to go so I could enjoy it with a glass of Prosecco at a bar.
The food culture tour in downtown Boise was excellent. The tasting plates at each restaurant were generous and delicious, particularly the outstanding Basque restaurant. The venues were welcoming and comfortable, and the staff provided friendly and attentive service. It was an easy stroll around a few blocks, and I appreciated learning about the history of Boise. Our knowledgeable and laid-back guide was very informative and charming, making for a delightful afternoon. You can also add wine at two locations, and the tour concludes at a chocolate shop, which was an ideal ending. This experience is truly worthwhile and offers great value for money.
This tour offers a fantastic blend of history and delicious food. You'll encounter many interesting sights in a compact area.
This was a fascinating experience; I gained so much knowledge about Boise. I highly recommend it. The food and wine experience was excellent.
As a lifelong resident of Idaho, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I learned during this tour, which was both educational and filled with fun facts. Our group consisted of three couples, a size that felt just right for a shared afternoon experience with out-of-town guests. The food samples were not only tasty but also intriguing; we certainly didn’t leave hungry. We discovered several restaurants we hadn’t known about and plan to revisit them. Our guide, Aden David, was enthusiastic and shared engaging stories about Boise. I highly recommend this activity to both locals and visitors.
We celebrated a friend's 61st birthday in a group of four and, as locals, we discovered intriguing details about our city that we never knew. We loved the unique spots we visited, and the food was excellent at every stop, along with the warm hospitality from each restaurant's staff. Our tour guide Bob was the highlight—he was engaging, personable, and made the experience informative and enjoyable. We strongly recommend this experience to everyone.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our Culinary and Cultural Tour of Boise with our guide Henry. The history of various buildings, businesses, restaurants, and the Basque community sparked engaging conversations. The food and drinks exceeded our expectations in both taste and quantity. We highly recommend this tour and appreciate Henry's personal and engaging teaching style.
The tour in Boise was fantastic, with just the right balance of history, food, and drinks, and minimal walking. Adan was an excellent guide—flexible, humorous, and well-informed.
Adan made the experience fantastic! It provided a fun and relaxed way to learn about Boise's history while enjoying delicious food. I highly recommend this tour.
The tour provided a great overview of Boise's food scene. Bob, our guide, was well-informed about Boise's history, particularly regarding the Basque area, its cuisine, and the immigrant experience. It’s truly worth participating in.
