The direction on the Intracoastal, either north or south, will depend on the season and weather conditions. If you have a preference, inform the captain, and an attempt will be made to accommodate it. • If heading north, one of the first park and conservation areas along the route sometimes offers good fishing opportunities. • Continuing north takes you past Spanish River Park, which is also an interesting site to visit. • Heading south, you will see Lake Boca, one of the most popular sandbars in South Florida, on your left. • Further south brings you to Deerfield Park, another spot that can provide excellent fishing at certain times of the year and is a frequent campsite for Boy Scouts. • The return to the original meeting location for departure will be based on the chosen direction, the number of fishing spots visited, and the total duration of your trip.
