Gumbo Limbo Nature Center

Gumbo Limbo Nature Center is a coastal preserve in Boca Raton, encompassing over 20 acres of lush mangroves, sea oat-covered dunes, and tranquil butterfly gardens. Established in the late 1970s, the center features a 40-foot observation tower that offers panoramic views of the surrounding ecosystems and is a starting point for exploring the native flora and fauna. Expect to spend a couple of hours walking the nature trails and visiting the aquarium, which showcases local marine life. The center is best visited early in the day to avoid the heat and crowds, and is conveniently located near Red Reef Park and the beach.
