This location is incredible. Upon entering the cave, I found myself surrounded by a captivating world of shadowy beauty. The cool, moist air was a stark contrast to the warmth outside, and the sounds of dripping water added to the mysterious atmosphere. Stalactites and stalagmites exhibited stunning formations, some looking like frozen waterfalls, while underground rivers flowed through the stone. The occasional flicker of my flashlight unveiled concealed chambers, each one more stunning than the previous.
I have visited with my family and friends multiple times, and we always have an excellent experience. It is the perfect spot to explore a cave and gain plenty of knowledge. I highly recommend it for those who enjoy a challenge.

Wes, our guide, was exceptional with his extensive knowledge of the cave's geology, history, and the local flora and fauna. His enthusiasm and energy are truly infectious. Having explored several caves both locally and abroad, this experience stands out as the best. From the beginning, I was promptly geared up and provided with helpful information to ease any nerves. There's no need for your phone since my very knowledgeable guide captured and shared photos of the challenging climbs and crawls that led to stunning locations within the cave. Just when you think you've reached the end, a small crevice opens up to yet another incredible spot. Inside, you’ll find waterfalls, fossils, fish, and historical graffiti, including a tag from 1872. My highlight was a five-minute crawl to a massive room featuring an 80-foot waterfall. I emerged completely muddy and wet but enriched with historical and geological insights about the area. At the end, there are shower facilities, and Mr. Sims, our guide, and his wife even offered me a ride back to my hotel, saving me a $30 Lyft fare to Birmingham. I recommend wearing rain or hiking pants since the cave temperature hovers around the 60s. If you're seeking adventure, this experience is a must.

This tour exceeded my expectations and was a fantastic experience. Ees is incredibly knowledgeable about the cave and its various inhabitants, including salamanders, bats, crawfish, fish, fossils, and more. I enjoyed navigating through tight spaces, water, and total darkness. It was a great day, and I plan to return.
