I took my 10-year-old and his friends on a scavenger hunt through the city. In hindsight, I should have reviewed the clues more thoroughly and created a plan around the key landmarks. However, it was an excellent way to discover a new city. I was pleasantly surprised by how much the boys engaged with the information on the monuments and statues we encountered. Given that we live in a significant civil rights area, they absorbed a lot about the early Civil Rights Movement. I would certainly do this again.
