Travelers can be picked up from hotels located in the city center or designated points within city limits. An additional fee may apply if the pickup location is outside these central areas, based on the distance.

• Pickup will occur from your hotel in Bhopal for the one-hour journey to Sanchi, situated approximately 30 miles from the city. In Sanchi, you will find the Great Stupa, which was established by Emperor Ashoka of the Mauryan dynasty. According to legend, after his extensive conquests in India, Emperor Ashoka regretted his actions and sought peace in Buddhism. To support and disseminate the Buddhist faith, he constructed various Stupas throughout India. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Stupa in Sanchi is among the most well-preserved Stupas in the country. This Stupa features a large hemispherical dome that rises to a height of 54 feet, comprising a central chamber that houses relics of Lord Buddha. It is adorned with four decorative gateways that face the four cardinal directions. Additionally, a sandstone pillar is located on the premises of the Stupa, engraved with the edict of Emperor Ashoka in the ancient Brahmi script. Following the visit, you will have lunch (beverages not included) at a local restaurant. • After lunch, transportation will be provided to the Udayagiri caves. Among the 20 caves, one contains a Jain cave featuring the oldest known Jain inscription from the 4th century A.D. The other caves exhibit Hindu inscriptions and depictions of Hindu deities on the walls. Concluding the tour, you will be returned to Bhopal and dropped off at your hotel.
