Pickup is available from hotels in the city center or predetermined locations within city limits. If the pickup location is outside these central areas, an additional fee may apply based on the distance.

• You will be collected from your accommodation in the morning and taken for a 1.5 hour journey to the village of Sanchi. In Sanchi is the Great Stupa, which was commissioned by Emperor Ashoka from the Mauryan dynasty. According to legend, Emperor Ashoka, after a violent conquest of India, became remorseful and turned to Buddhism for comfort. He constructed various Stupas throughout India to protect and proliferate the Buddhist faith. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Stupa in Sanchi is among the most well-preserved Stupas in India. The Stupa has a large hemispherical dome that rises to a height of 54 feet and is encircled by four decorative gateways that face each of the cardinal directions. A sandstone pillar is also located on the Stupa grounds. Afterward, you will continue to the town of Vidisha, which is a 15-minute drive from Sanchi. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant (beverage not included). After the tour concludes, you will be returned to Bhopal and dropped off at your hotel.
