We initially arranged just an airport transfer from Beirut Airport to Batroun, but during the one-hour trip, we had such an enjoyable and informative journey with Robin that we decided to also book a tour with his company. On our final day, we experienced the Private Beirut City Tour with Robin, which was incredibly fun. His knowledge about the city was impressive, and it was clear he is passionate about his work. I highly suggest using any of his services; you won’t regret it.

We took this tour on a Sunday and navigated Beirut quite efficiently. Although the tour was conducted in English, the guide's command of the language was lacking; he admitted he spoke Arabic or French better. The itinerary claimed two hours in the souks, but we spent only about five minutes there. Many of the souks were closed, and though other historic sites in the area were mentioned, we didn't visit any. Our only stop was the I Love Beirut sign, and don't count on the guide to offer to take your picture. The boat ride around Beirut was the highlight. Overall, the tour lasted roughly 3.5 hours, which included a lunch break.
