I had an excellent experience on this tour! I was picked up at 8:30 am and returned at 1:30 pm, but since I was the only participant, larger groups might have longer durations. My driver, Harake, was professional, polite, and very accommodating. I highly recommend this tour. Lunch was served at a nice restaurant with a waterfront view, and the portion sizes were generous. The short boat ride in Jeita was included and was truly stunning.
This tour was booked on short notice due to a cancellation of my previous plans, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. The pick-up from my hotel was punctual, preceded by a WhatsApp message with the driver's name and car details, which are important touches. There were three participants, and our driver, Jad, was very helpful and engaged, ensuring everything ran smoothly by managing tickets for sights and coordinating our lunch. Given that it was a public holiday, the traffic was lighter than usual, making the journey more enjoyable. Our first stop was Jietta to see remarkable limestone caves, which included a brief boat ride through some of the formations. The next destination was Harissa, where we visited a monument to Our Lady of Lebanon and a modern church situated on a hill. While the view of the church was limited, its concrete structure reflected some shapes reminiscent of the stalactites from earlier. The descent was via an old-looking cable car, providing stunning views along the way. At the bottom, Jad was ready to take us to Byblos, which featured a castle and ancient village ruins, showcasing early human history. The site was expansive with plenty to explore, including a small amphitheater. After a quiet stroll through the souk, we enjoyed a generous and delicious lunch. Jad proved to be knowledgeable and willing to answer questions, which contributed to making this a truly enjoyable day.
The tour guide and driver were friendly and attentive, providing us with a wealth of useful information. They arrived on time for pickup and communication was straightforward. I had a great time on this trip and would suggest it to fellow travelers.
Mr. Harake proved to be an excellent guide and driver. He was incredibly kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. He picked us up from our hotel promptly. Traveling with him was a delightful experience. If you visit Beirut, this tour is a must-buy for an unforgettable journey and spectacular views. The restaurant in Byblos is also a perfect spot for lunch. Thank you for everything, Mr. Harake.
The guide was very friendly and supportive, the scenery was stunning, and we loved every moment of the experience. The food was also excellent, but I can't imagine there being bad food in Lebanon.
It was a wonderfully beautiful day exploring Byblos and Harissa. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Lebanon.
Everything about the tour was excellent, from the guide to the lunch, despite the rainy weather. The Grotto was incredible, and Byblos, my first Phoenician city, was fantastic as well.
We were never contacted about the pick-up. The scheduled time was 8:30, but at 8:50 the hotel reached out to them only to be told they couldn’t get in touch with us. Other companies managed to contact us, and since the pick-up was from our hotel, they could have relayed a message. We had only paid 48 hours before, so it was clear we were going. They eventually arrived at 9:50 in an old, rundown car with a driver who spoke very little English, even though it was supposed to be a guided tour. We would have been better off taking a taxi for a much lower price.
Mr. Harake served as both our guide and driver for the day, and the experience was excellent; communication, services, and guidance were all flawless. The only downside is that photography is not allowed at Jeita.
Our experience with Harake during the tour of the Jeita Grotto, Byblos, Harrissa, and Batroun was fantastic. He was knowledgeable and friendly. Everything we saw was fascinating, and we had a great time. Thank you.
