• Departure from your hotel in Beirut occurs in the morning at 08:15 am, beginning with a drive to JEITA GROTTOS, where you will have approximately 1.15 hours to explore the interconnected limestone caves extending nearly 10 kilometers. • Afterward, you will proceed to HARISSA to visit the notable Virgin Mary Statue, enjoying panoramic views of JOUNIEH Bay and the surrounding landscape during the drive. • A cable car ride from Harissa to Jounieh will follow, where the driver will meet you to continue to Byblos, unless the cable car is not operational, in which case travel will resume by vehicle. • You will enjoy a 1.5-hour tour of BYBLOS, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities globally. This includes a stroll along the Marina leading to the castle and the souk. • Entry to the Crusader castle in Byblos is optional; it is known as the castle of Gibelet and is next to the Phoenician archaeological site featuring the Temple of Baalat Gebal and the Temple of the Obelisks. The castle, constructed in the 12th century, underwent various historical events, including being captured and rebuilt by the Crusaders. Nearby are ancient Egyptian temples, the Phoenician royal necropolis, and a Roman amphitheater. • Following the castle, you will explore Byblos' old souk, a vibrant market offering local crafts, antiques, and souvenirs, along with numerous bars and cafes. This compact area is perfect for wandering through its historical alleyways and sites. • A traditional restaurant will serve Mediterranean Lebanese cuisine for lunch. • After the meal, the driver will return to Beirut, dropping you off at your specified location.
