• A brief hike will take place up the hill for a sweeping view of the stunning Aqoura lakes. NO WATER FROM (AUGUST TO NOVEMBER) Also, expect road closures due to snow from (JANUARY TO APRIL). • The next stop will be Baatara Gorge Waterfall, also referred to as Balou’ Bala’a. This waterfall plunges 255 meters (837 ft) into the Baatara Pothole, a cave from the Jurassic period, and was "discovered" in 1952, shaped by millions of years of limestone erosion. Note: Water flow at Baatara waterfall is minimal or absent (JUNE-NOVEMBER). • Finally, the visit to Batroun includes a one-hour lunch break, followed by a tour of the old souk and port. This area overlooks the ancient harbor/fishermen's port, featuring the Maronite Saint – Stephan (mar estephan) church, constructed in the early 20th century and recognized as one of Lebanon's largest and most beautiful churches.
