We organized a tour with this company through an agency while on a brief stop from our cruise. Unfortunately, the tender service was very slow, and we were almost at risk of missing our tour. The amazing woman who assisted us went out of her way to help, exploring not only her company's options but eventually directing us to another provider. She also refunded the tour we had booked through the agency. You can book with assurance; they truly prioritize your experience.
I unintentionally scheduled our excursion during a holiday weekend, and Bar Harbor along with the primary attractions were crowded. I was thankful I chose to have someone else handle the traffic and parking, plus we got the added advantage of great commentary from Ken.
We went towards the end of the season, so the crowds were minimal. Rick, our narrator, was able to include several extra stops for us to enjoy.
This tour is an excellent opportunity to explore Acadia while gaining insights into its history. Our guide, Rick, was fantastic, adapting the tour to the weather conditions for an optimal experience. I highly recommend it.
This tour was incredible. Rick, our guide, showcased his extensive knowledge of the area and kept us entertained with numerous humorous stories throughout the journey.
The tour was excellent, and Rick provided a wealth of knowledge. It was convenient to have the bus drop us off right at the entrance, as parking at some locations could be difficult if driving alone.
The trip should have been canceled right from the start. Heavy rain and zero visibility made it impossible to see any of the sites we had paid for. Spending $120 for a trip in such weather was unacceptable; it should have been either canceled or rescheduled.
The pickup spot is conveniently located just a short walk from the cruise ship dock. The bus is roomy, tidy, and comfortable. The guide was friendly and well-informed. I would definitely recommend this tour for the price.
The journey was enjoyable overall, but the driver repeatedly mentioned how well we were doing and that we were ahead of schedule, supposedly due to lighter traffic. However, we finished the tour earlier than expected instead of having longer breaks at scenic spots to make use of our full booking time. He insisted the situation was not his responsibility. A better driver would have modified the stop durations to enhance our experience.
The tour met expectations and I was relieved we chose not to take our car, as traffic was congested before entering Acadia. The tour has pre-approved entry, which avoids the hassle of finding parking and dealing with crowds, particularly for those renting a car. However, I deducted one star because I feel the tour should begin 30-45 minutes earlier than 10 am to accommodate for delays. Starting at 9:15 am without additional stops and possibly raising the price by $10 would help cover costs. Adults often ignore schedules, affecting the tour's pace. Traffic is unpredictable, and given the area's popularity, I can't see it becoming less busy. I would have wanted at least 15-20 minutes at each of the three stops for exploration, restrooms, and shopping. The guides were excellent, and the tour lived up to its advertisement. There’s no need to stress. If you're flying from BGR to LGA at 5 pm, you'll have ample time to get to the airport by 1:10 pm if you’re driving.
