Riding the RAD fat tire e-bikes through Acadia was a fantastic experience. The location was excellent, and the staff were very friendly, answering all our questions with a positive attitude. The bikes were user-friendly, and even on steep hills, we seldom needed the pedal assist on levels 4 or 5. My wife and I wished we had another hour or two to discover more trails, but we had other plans in Acadia that day. I highly recommend this company.
Maine State was well-organized and provided excellent e-bike rental equipment. The instructions were easy to follow, and the staff was very friendly. The carriage trails were fantastic, with no cars present, making it completely safe. The only challenge was getting accustomed to the fat tire e-bikes at first. There was a bit of traffic when leaving the shop, so it's advisable to practice in the parking area. Also, the initial ride to the park involves an uphill segment that requires a bit of effort. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I'm really glad we participated. Thank you!
Before our ride, Maria provided excellent information about the bike and reassured me that it would be manageable despite my height of 4'11". On the ride day, Iz offered me a private lesson in bike control. Our private guide, Ian, expertly led us through Acadia, making the experience fantastic. He was wonderful, and the fall foliage was stunning. This was the highlight of my trip.
