This half-day tour from Banjul takes you to the Tanji Fishing Center, one of the Gambia's key fishing communities, where you can observe the vibrant local fishing culture. After exploring the fishing village, you'll head to Paradise Beach in Sanyang, known for its peaceful atmosphere and scenic views.

Reviews
A wonderful holiday destination with kind people and plenty of sunshine. If you enjoy serene, quiet beaches, this is the place for you. The fish markets offer a unique experience, with so much to take in all around you.
Paradise Beach and the largest fishing village in Gambia were truly enjoyable. The supervisor provided excellent insights. If you're seeking an authentic African beach experience and a taste of genuine fishing life, I highly recommend Kassamarkts tours.
I highly recommend that you have Jimmy create your itinerary; you will appreciate it. He is incredibly attentive and prioritizes your comfort. The excursion was enjoyable, though the beach wasn't ideal for swimming. The visit to Tanji market was unique and authentic; it might not be for everyone, but we had a great time there.
It was a troubling experience. The environment was difficult to witness, as people lived amid the garbage. I struggled to see any beauty in their lives; I just felt pity for their harsh realities.
I was conveniently picked up at my hotel by a tidy driver and an equally well-presented guide. We traveled in a safe 4x4 vehicle to Tanji, enjoying a stunning tour of this authentic fishing village. Following that, I headed to Paradise Beach, where I had a wonderful time with the female guide. We took a stroll along the beach and enjoyed lunch, which is not included in the price, but that was perfectly fine as the prices in the hospitality sector are quite reasonable. It was a fantastic excursion.
Superb tour with welcoming and informed guides. The stunning beach and bustling fishing village made for an exciting experience. Thank you for a wonderful day, Jarry.
This tour was incredible, and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Serekunda. Paradise Beach is a must-visit, and the experience at the fish market was truly unforgettable.
The taxi quality was lacking, with missing interior ceiling and side panels. There was an attempt to merge two groups with different booking requests into a single taxi, but that was ultimately abandoned due to objections. The commentary was minimal. However, the Tanji Beach fish market was lively, with beautifully painted boats, and Paradise Beach was pristine and idyllic.
We selected the South Gambia tour to gain insight into everyday life in Gambia, and it was a great decision thanks to Jarry and San. They were excellent, trustworthy, friendly, and knowledgeable. The beach was stunning, and the Tanji fish market left a strong impression. Our visit to the Monkey Forest was another enjoyable highlight.
The tour was quite engaging but had its ups and downs. On the downside, we faced over 40 minutes of delay at the start due to poor organization and communication, which was frustrating. However, the museum was truly captivating, and we found the pirogue boat tour especially enjoyable. Our guide was kind and knowledgeable, making the experience pleasant. On the negative side again, we thought we would have time for lunch at Lamin Lodge, which also serves food, but we were hurried to the next destination while still hungry. Having breakfast at 7 a.m. followed by no proper meal until after 4 p.m. felt excessive—was it some kind of Ramadan training? Nonetheless, we experienced a lot, making it a worthwhile adventure for our first visit to The Gambia.
