Participating in this scavenger hunt was an excellent way to explore the charming city of Bangor. It was just me and a friend on the journey. Wear comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for some hills, as the city is larger and offers challenges. We walked extensively, although using an Uber or car is an option. We designed our route for the long course and ended up covering over 18 miles, though there’s a timed shorter version available for those looking for speed. Opting for the longer race allowed us to take our time, enjoy the wonderful food, and have fun. Our virtual guide was always available and just as enthusiastic as we were. Engaging with locals provided interesting insights about the town, and everyone was friendly and accommodating. Some tasks involved interaction, which added to the fun, and while the challenges were simple, they were still enjoyable. You don't have to complete all tasks, but doing more enhances the experience. A few businesses were closed on Sunday, yet we could still finish the hunt. This adventure led us to discover beautiful spots we plan to revisit. We highly recommend taking the hunt with Alley Kat Adventures. After this first experience, my friend and I are eager to explore other cities with them.
My sister and I had a fantastic time exploring Bangor. We discovered a lot and Melanie was wonderful. I highly recommend this experience.
This was a major letdown. Many of the items we were supposed to find were not there, and the shop owners seemed unaware of the event. It was quite frustrating. We spent $108 wandering around familiar spots in search of clues that have vanished.
