I feel compelled to share my disappointment regarding the 10-hour private tour I booked. Although the driver was professional and the vehicle met expectations, my experience was severely affected by unexpected additional charges that were not made clear in the initial "Inclusions & Exclusions" list. I made my booking with a clear understanding of what to expect: PROMISED SERVICES: - 10 hours of private transportation - Fuel surcharge included - An air-conditioned vehicle - A professional English-speaking driver EXCLUSIONS AS NOTED: - Parking fees - Gratuities - Lunch However, the reality was quite different: 1. An unexpected pick-up fee of IDR 100,000 was communicated the night before the tour for being picked up from my hotel in Cimenyan, which was labeled as "outside Bandung city". This charge wasn't mentioned during my booking. 2. After the tour, the driver asked for an additional IDR 100,000 for the drop-off back to my hotel. This was a complete surprise. 3. I was also charged an unexpected IDR 100,000 during the tour to visit a location for which I had already paid the entrance fee. The driver claimed it was a charge for the "special place," which made no sense. In total, I ended up paying an extra IDR 300,000 that was never part of the original agreement. This situation raises several concerns: - Lack of Transparency: The "Inclusions" list is misleading if basic expenses like pick-up and drop-off from a hotel in Bandung aren't included. - Bait-and-Switch: Adding costs post-service completion when customers have no option but to pay feels unjust. - Trust Erosion: The experience gave the impression that the initial price was merely a starting point for hidden costs. In conclusion, while the service quality was satisfactory, I cannot endorse this tour provider due to its unclear pricing structure. If you decide to book with them, ensure you receive written confirmation of all possible extra charges before you make a payment, including: - Are there geographical limits for complimentary pick-up/drop-off? - Are there additional "location fees" for specific attractions? I anticipated a professional service based on a straightforward contract, but hidden fees significantly detracted from the experience. I hope the company addresses these pricing transparency issues to improve future customer experiences.
I received prompt email communication from RajaTour Bandung as soon as I made my booking on Klook, followed by updates on WhatsApp. Their responsiveness was impressive. The day prior to the hike, I learned that Mr. Cokey would be our driver. He was not only an excellent driver but also a fantastic guide, sharing numerous fascinating stories about Indonesia with my family. Esrina's friendliness and punctuality, along with her efforts to ensure our comfort throughout the day, made a big difference. Our activities included visits to Kawa Putih, deer feeding at Ranca Upas, the Rengannis Suspension Bridge, lakeside glamping, and Braga Street.
