We had a fantastic tour of Sovereign Hill and the Eureka Museum with our family. There was plenty to explore, and we loved visiting the Ballarat Botanical Gardens along with the Eureka Skydeck. Our guide, Matt, was extremely knowledgeable and relaxed, having lived in Victoria his entire life. We couldn't have asked for a better guide. This tour is a must if you're in Melbourne.
A fantastic day for the entire family with plenty of activities and sights suitable for all ages. The costumed staff truly creates a sense of stepping back in time. The underground tours are definitely worth the experience. It's great value for the price, but be sure to bring water and a hat, as it can get quite hot walking around for an extended time. Arriving early is recommended. Overall, it's a visit that is well worth making. I did feel sympathy for the horses pulling the stagecoach; they seemed very hot and exhausted.
This tour deserves more attention in the future. It offers a fantastic opportunity to delve into the gold rush history of Melbourne. The organization was excellent, with a manageable duration that allowed ample time to explore each site. Our guide, Rick, was particularly helpful, providing valuable suggestions and sharing interesting background stories. Overall, it was a wonderful experience filled with insights.
The company canceled the trip because not enough tickets were sold, and I was informed with less than 24 hours' notice, which left me unable to obtain a refund.
It was disappointing. Our tour was canceled just hours beforehand because the baby didn’t pay, and they reopened the spots to try and fill them again.
