Six to seven hours in a 4x4 Land Rover through Troodos — visit quaint villages, enjoy a traditional Cypriot meze, and stop by a local winery.
This six to seven hour Jeep safari takes you through the central slopes of the Troodos Mountains, departing from Ayia Napa and venturing off the beaten track. The route includes stops in charming rural villages where you can meet locals and learn about Cypriot culture, history, and traditions.
Expect stunning mountain vistas, cascading waterfalls (where you can take a dip if the weather allows), and serene freshwater lakes tucked away in nature. A highlight of the day is a visit to a family-run restaurant for a traditional Cypriot meze, paired with a stop at a local winery. Keep in mind that the itinerary may vary during the winter months from November to March.

The driver was very helpful, and we had a great time visiting all the fantastic landmarks. However, it's not ideal for those with back problems or if you're uncomfortable with fast driving, as it could get a bit wild at times.
The experience was average. The long drive varied in excitement depending on the stops along the way. I was concerned about the risk of driving fatigue. Additionally, I arrived slightly late for the pickup, and the Jeep, which could accommodate 8 passengers, was booked for 9.
Bambos was an exceptional tour guide with an incredible sense of humor that truly enhanced our experience; he deserves a raise. We had a fantastic time enjoying breathtaking views from the mountain tops, exploring the charming village and monastery, and marveling at the stunning waterfalls. Even as non-wine drinkers, we had a wonderful time at the winery, largely thanks to Jenny, the wine expert, who also merits a raise. Every moment was enjoyable, even when our friend hilariously ended up on the jeep floor. I wholeheartedly recommend this trip to everyone. Request Bambos for your tour guide.
If you value your safety, avoid these jeep tours. Right from the start, we questioned our choice. The driver was texting while driving, nearly rear-ending another vehicle. His aggressive behavior included rude comments about other drivers. Once we hit the motorway, he exceeded the speed limit, tailgated, and swerved to pass while on the phone, claiming he was late for another pickup. A new couple joined us without working seatbelts, and despite my suggestion to address this, the driver struggled to fix them. By then, I had resigned myself to just hoping for the best. The off-roading was thrilling, but the driver’s recklessness made me anxious about our safety. On the return trip, he tried to take a call while driving, only to stop when a police car approached. Research afterward revealed similar negative reviews, including one group that crashed after their driver ignored warnings. This experience lacked safety and comfort, and what should have been exciting instead left me on edge. I won’t recommend it and won't try it again.
The journey from Protaras to the mountains felt a bit lengthy, resulting in excessive time spent in the Jeep. However, all the stops were enjoyable, particularly the wine tasting at Lions Wines, which was impressive compared to a similar experience in Rhodes. I disagree with those who say time was wasted; we anticipated the long drive. That said, additional stops in the mountains could have enhanced the experience, although the waterfall and wine tasting were highlights.
I went on this trip with my 17-year-old daughter, and our guide, George Michael, was both entertaining and very knowledgeable about the island's history, flora, and fauna. The tour begins quite early since the Troodos Mountains are far from Protaras. However, the jeeps aren’t particularly comfortable, especially for someone my height of 6'4". Although they request that passengers switch seats, I could only sit in the front due to my height for fear of injury. The views and the villages visited truly reflect the island's authentic beauty. The main drawback is the considerable time spent on the motorway at both the start and finish of the day, which is uncomfortable since the jeeps lack air-conditioning, forcing us to keep the windows down, leading to excessive noise. I would consider taking this tour again during the early season when the island is greener and cooler to enjoy the forest scents and vibrant foliage.
Avoiding this company is the best advice I can give. I booked a jeep trip through Titanas in Protaras, and although I was informed that the jeep would accommodate 8 people plus the driver, it arrived with 9 passengers and the driver, making a total of 10. We were cramped and uncomfortable, especially for the €80 price tag. The driver mentioned we would switch seats, but some people were always prioritized for the front. We were the only jeep out of three that had to pause for a leg-stretching break due to our discomfort. When I expressed my intention to complain, the driver merely shrugged it off. His driving was reckless, and I felt unsafe, especially when he drove while using his phone. His speed was alarming, as if he was racing. I tried to raise my concerns with the company, but they refused to refund my payment, despite the poor experience. Learning that they had dismissed another driver for reckless driving raises serious concerns about their standards. If my experience can help families reconsider booking with this company, it will have been worthwhile. While the sights were beautiful, I cannot recommend enduring hours of cramped discomfort and fear for your safety. The company's main priority seems to be cramming as many passengers in as possible to maximize profits.
It was a fantastic experience to explore a less familiar area of Cyprus. Our driver Pedro was delightful, sharing plenty of historical insights about Cyprus and the villages we passed through. We made numerous stops and enjoyed some beautiful scenery along the route.
An incredibly magical experience with numerous pleasant stops along the way. Our guide was both knowledgeable and reassuring, skillfully navigating both on and off-road routes with a great sense of humor.
The trip was enjoyable, though there was less off-roading than we anticipated because of the route. The selection of attractions was also impressive. Our chauffeur drove skillfully.
