Kourion was fantastic. The tour was very well organized, and Maria, our guide, provided insightful and humorous commentary. I highly recommend it.
The guide and driver were friendly and laid-back, with Maria’s energy and sense of humor being particularly enjoyable. However, we departed from our hotel in Ayia Napa at 8 AM and returned at 6:30 PM, spending over 6 of those 10.5 hours on the bus while picking up other guests and traveling across the country. Our time in Kurion and Paphos was extremely limited: we barely had a brief walk, a 10-minute explanation, and just 10 to 15 minutes to explore. These sites deserve more time for exploration, photographs, and relaxation. It felt like a significant waste of time. It's unfortunate since the team is clearly passionate and skilled, but the logistics just don't work. If you're staying in Ayia Napa, I would suggest renting a car to go directly to the sites and hiring a local guide to truly appreciate the time they deserve rather than spending the day on a bus.
I received conflicting information regarding the pick-up time and location. After following the details from the last email, I ended up waiting over half an hour without anyone showing up.
The locations visited were fantastic, including Kourion, Aphrodite's Rock, and the Tomb of the Kings with its mosaics. However, more time is needed to fully appreciate each site.
The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, providing plenty of time for independent exploration. The breathtaking locations visited made the trip highly worthwhile for the money invested.
