This experience was truly fantastic! Our guide, Trace, was exceptional—professional, knowledgeable, and entertaining, while ensuring we met our winery appointments. Both wineries were impressive, though I preferred one slightly over the other. I also brought home a bottle from each! The BBQ at Salt Lick was incredible; the pork ribs were flavorful and well-seasoned. I met some great people on the tour, and we all had an amazing time. I highly recommend it, especially with Trace leading the way.
Anne Lewis from Fora Travel was instrumental in planning my trip, providing excellent suggestions for excursions. I'm thrilled I booked this tour through her. Wallace, our guide, was exceptional, keeping us engaged with captivating stories throughout the journey. The brisket at Salt Lick was tasty and just what we needed before wine tasting. I enjoyed both wineries, with Duchman being my favorite. We had just the right amount of time at each venue and thoroughly enjoyed the wine and each other's company. On the shuttle back to Austin, we all felt like close friends, thanks to Wallace's efforts. He even allowed us a quick stop to see a longhorn cattle ranch and a fascinating old Texaco gas station in Driftwood, both great for pictures. I wholeheartedly recommend Anne Lewis and this tour.
The experience was enjoyable overall. We encountered Longhorn cattle on the way to Duchman winery, which was a nice touch. The wine tastings at both locations featured excellent selections. The scenery at Fields winery was stunning, providing a lovely backdrop for enjoying wine while listening to birds chirping. Jax, our enthusiastic hostess, was both informative and entertaining. However, the BBQ did not meet my expectations; I've had better in my hometown. The ribs weren't tender enough and required effort to chew, while the brisket was just okay. On a positive note, the blackberry cobbler a la mode was delightful.
Jax was outstanding, and the trip itself was delightful.
Kelty Carson was an excellent guide, providing plenty of information about the locations we explored and wine overall. She shared interesting local history, and the group playlist on the return trip added to the fun.
This tour was a lot of fun, and our guide Joey really enhanced the experience! He is knowledgeable, supportive, and enjoyable to be around. I highly recommend it!

Evan Ford was an excellent guide for our final day in Austin. It was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend this tour that included BBQ and a winery.
Joey served as both our guide and entertainment, showcasing extensive knowledge of the area along with excellent recommendations. His relaxed demeanor made the experience enjoyable as he took us to three fantastic locations. He's like the humorous designated driver you always want.
This tour was enjoyable and informative about the region. Our guide, Joey, was knowledgeable, engaging, and entertaining. The Salt Lick BBQ was fantastic, especially the brisket that was incredibly tender. Seeing the large BBQ spit was a highlight. Driftwood Winery offered stunning views, and both wineries featured great wines and lovely grounds. Joey ensured that everyone received the information they were interested in. We highly endorse this tour.
