What an incredible afternoon. After arriving on NCL, our leader organized an engaging tour for about 30 people. From beginning to end, it was both informative and enjoyable. We spotted numerous elk and even encountered a whale on the beach. Katie and her husband guided us, sharing so many insights during our 4 hours together. Out of the 21-day cruise, this was undoubtedly my favorite tour and destination. Katie has inspired me to come back to this area! They even served a delightful salmon dip. It was a truly perfect day.
This tour was a fantastic experience for us. Katie, Bill, and Meredith served as outstanding guides while leading our group through Astoria. We particularly enjoyed visiting the Goonies House and the Iredale Shipwreck, and the beach was gorgeous. We strongly suggest opting for this tour instead of the crowded options offered by cruise lines. It’s simple to locate them upon disembarking—just follow the video they provide.

We felt let down by the cruise company as we didn't receive much for the high price. In a small town of 10,000 residents, the new maritime museum was a point of pride, and the view from the tower was decent after spending an hour and a half there. However, an hour spent in front of the reconstruction was underwhelming. The excursion's details were poorly communicated, making us wish we had explored the city on our own. The guide mixed up historical facts, which was somewhat amusing but didn't enhance the experience.

We had a fantastic and informative three-hour tour of charming Astoria, led by Bill and Kate, which was definitely worth it. The tour highlights included climbing to the top of the column for incredible views, visiting the Goonies house, and enjoying Bill’s salmon dip. They picked us up at the port right after our cruise, and it appears they also provide hotel pickups.
The tour of Astoria led by our guide Meredith was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable and enjoyable to be around. Coming off a cruise ship with no prior knowledge of the town made this experience truly special (and we even received planes to fly and salmon dip!). Our heartfelt thanks from the three of us.

We had an amazing time with Katie and Onward Adventures during the Tour of Astoria. Climbing the Astoria Column was a thrill, especially flying small gliders from the top. A personal highlight was visiting several filming locations, such as those from The Goonies, Short Circuit, and Free Willy. They were quite adaptable, allowing our small group to choose what interested us most. I highly recommend them for anyone visiting Astoria.
