The tour includes scenic drives and stop-offs at various viewpoints.

Along the way, you’ll have the chance to enjoy Astoria's waterfront atmosphere and, tides permitting, explore the tide pools at the iconic Haystack Rock. Then, we will head to the South Jetty Observation Tower, where you can overlook the confluence of the Columbia River and the Pacific Ocean, famously known as the Graveyard of the Pacific. Here, an explanation of the perilous history of the Columbia River Bar will be provided, recognized as one of the most dangerous crossings globally. We will also stop at Battery Russell, a historic military installation that was once used for coastal defense. Gain insight into its wartime past and learn about the efforts of the Friends of Fort Stevens to preserve and restore the site, along with information about upcoming events this season. • Explore a well-known tourist attraction that provides a detailed explanation of the salt-making techniques utilized by famed explorers. • Visit End of the World Beach and check out McMenamins Sand Trap. • Enjoy a scenic walk along one of Oregon's most photographed beaches.
