Our guide was extremely knowledgeable. My adult granddaughter and I enjoyed discovering the history of Aspen and noted how significantly the town has transformed over time.
This is an excellent method to gain insight into Aspen's history. The experience is not demanding physically, as it involves a stroll around the town with a highly informed guide.
This tour offers an excellent overview of Aspen's rich history, starting from pre-historic geological events to its current status. It covers the indigenous Ute culture, the silver mining era, Aspen's rise as a premier ski resort, and its reputation as an arts hub and luxury real estate market. Dean led an enjoyable 90-minute walking tour, stopping at various historic and modern sites. He was friendly, engaging, and well-informed. I highly recommend it.
Dean has a wealth of knowledge; if he doesn’t know something, it’s likely not significant. The tour moves at a relaxed pace, offering plenty of opportunities for photos. Be prepared for some quizzes along the way, so listen closely, especially when he mentions “Ute City.” Dean is very observant and helped us avoid stepping in dog and bear droppings, which we greatly appreciated.
The tour was very thorough. Our guide offered insightful information about Aspen's history, current state, and future developments. They even used props, which made for a highly enjoyable experience.
The tour offered a fascinating and leisurely walk through Aspen. My friend and I were the only participants for the morning, so we didn't necessarily need the entire 90 minutes, but it allowed us to ask questions and explore the fire station, which had intriguing photographs and memorabilia. Overall, the stories shared about the early miners and investors who contributed to Aspen's development were quite engaging.
Our time walking through downtown Aspen was fantastic. Dean, our tour guide, shared insightful details about the area's history and provided excellent suggestions for restaurants to try.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Aspen Past and Present Historic Tour. Dean was both friendly and well-informed. The experience was fun and engaging. Aspen is a wonderful little city!
I've been on two fantastic tours with Dean's Aspen Tours, including the Ghost Tour. Dean's expertise and engaging manner, along with his patience in addressing questions, made the experience even better.
