Maroon Bells

Maroon Bells are two striking peaks rising above 14,000 feet in the Elk Mountains, located just outside Aspen. Their distinctive maroon hue comes from the sedimentary rock formed during the late Paleozoic era, and they are often regarded as one of the most photographed mountain ranges in North America due to their stunning alpine scenery. The best time to visit is during fall, when the aspen trees turn golden, contrasting beautifully with the peaks.
