• A drive lasting approximately 1 hour from Ashdod or 1.5 hours from Tel Aviv leads to the "Black Arrow" Memorial, honoring the paratroopers' combat history from retaliatory operations beginning with Operation Kissufim on August 10, 1954, through Operation "Black Arrow" on February 28, 1955, and concluding with the Sinai War in 1956. • The yard containing burned-out vehicles includes 1,560 vehicles that were evacuated from the areas and settlements around Gaza following the surprise attack on Simchat Torah morning, October 7, 2023. Each vehicle represents a story about families and individuals who were present during the event. Visitors can hear these stories on a guided tour or by scanning codes on information boards for independent reading. • Prior to October 7, 2023, the Re'im parking lot served as a scenic area for hiking. It was the site of a nature party where 364 individuals were murdered and 40 were abducted to Gaza. The area has since been memorialized with permanent installations. • An observatory overlooking the Gaza Strip is situated on a hill known as "Kobi Hill," which rises 110 meters above sea level. This location has been a popular vantage point for journalists and others during conflicts involving Israel and Gaza and features the "Monument of the Four." • The Sderot police station became a significant symbol of the October 7 events, having been attacked by terrorists resulting in the loss of 8 police officers (with an additional two killed during the incident). Consequently, the district commander ordered the demolition of the station building, where 26 terrorists had barricaded themselves.
