This scuba diving excursion takes you from Rio de Janeiro to Arraial do Cabo, approximately 175 km away. The round trip lasts around ten hours, with about four to five hours spent diving in the clear waters renowned for their rich marine life, including turtles and dolphins.
For certified divers, the package includes two dives, while beginners receive instruction and one assisted dive. Transfers to and from your hotel in Rio are included, as well as all necessary scuba gear, bilingual driver/guide, and refreshments during the trip. Initially hesitant about a two-hour trip from Rio, we were thoroughly impressed. The entire experience exceeded our expectations. Coming from the USA, we weren’t sure what to anticipate, but everything was top-notch. Our tour guide and driver spoke excellent English and provided a wealth of information during the drive. Although the scuba diving was just around 35 feet deep, we encountered sea turtles (one even touched me), a sea horse, eels, and a variety of stunning fish. We enjoyed two dives with fantastic dive guides.

Our adventure began with a scuba trip, followed by a canopy tour and a hike up Two Brothers Mountain the next day. Each experience was incredible. It was an amazing experience. The road trip to a fishing village near Rio was fantastic, and the diving offered a unique experience unlike typical reef dives due to the terrain. The highlight was definitely swimming alongside a large turtle in the open sea, and I was thrilled to see a flying fish up close underwater for the first time.

I arranged a dive trip to Arraial do Cabo through Rio Adventures. Samual picked me up early; he was personable and had excellent English skills. We traveled for two hours to meet the dive boat operated by Mr Diver. As the only certified diver that day, I had my own dive master, who also communicated well in English, for both dives. While the diving itself wasn't the most spectacular I've experienced, I enjoyed getting in the water, and visibility was good. After diving, we returned to Rio, making for an enjoyable day overall.
They took my payment, cancelled the dive, and are refusing to issue a refund. I now have to request a chargeback, and they have gone completely silent to try to keep my money. This has turned into a major hassle, and I deeply regret booking with them.
I had an incredible experience from beginning to end. A private taxi took me to the dive site, where I enjoyed two fantastic dives. I saw turtles, Moray eels, puffer fish, a sea horse, and plenty of other fish! Although the journey was long, it was definitely worth it.
