Day trip to Petra and Wadi Rum from Aqaba

Drivers or guides will meet clients at the designated pickup point, displaying a sign with their names.

• Pickup from the hotel will occur at 08:00 AM, followed by a transfer to Petra along the Desert Highway, including a brief stop before reaching Petra. The distance to Petra is approximately 135 km from Aqaba, which takes about 2 hours. Upon arrival around 10:30 AM, guests can use the restrooms before beginning the visit while the guide organizes tickets and a short horse ride. The visit starts with a short walk through the main entrance to Petra, where horses will be available for those interested in a ride (included in the price). Everyone reconvenes at the Siq, a long, narrow passage between two massive rock formations measuring about 1.2 km in length, accompanied by the guide. The first major sight is Al-Khazneh (the Treasury), an impressive structure carved from solid rock, standing nearly 140 feet tall and 90 feet wide. The tour continues with visits to numerous carved structures, the Roman Theater (which seats 7,000), Royal Tombs, the Court, Cardo Str., and Qasr Al-Bint (the Castle of Pharaoh’s daughter). After lunch inside Petra, there will be additional time to explore more sites, with the option to climb the Monastery, which involves around 950 steps, before walking back out of Petra. • Later, the drive to Wadi Rum offers a transition to a different world, known for its breathtaking desert landscape. Arrival at Wadi Rum is expected at 17:30, where visitors can enjoy a 2-hour jeep safari, exploring various sites in Wadi Rum. A tea break at a Bedouin tent and the opportunity to witness a memorable sunset are included. The journey will then continue back to Aqaba, concluding the services.
