We explored Geiranger with Renars during the first part of our honeymoon. He was fantastic—extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient, taking us to many wonderful locations. Together with our tour with Igvar, this was the highlight of our Norway adventure. Don’t miss this trip; it’s truly a bucket list experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. By the end, we felt we had discovered so much of Geiranger and the glaciers. Maya was outstanding and very friendly. Definitely worth the price!
We enjoyed an 8.5-hour coach tour organized by our group from the NCL Prima via Cruise Critic. There were 27 of us on a comfortable bus that took us into the mountains near Stryn, Norway, with several stunning panoramic photo stops along the way. Our guide, Iggy, was wonderful, sharing fascinating insights about the sights and the area's history, along with personal anecdotes. The tour included a “picnic” lunch with a pre-made sub sandwich, fruit, and snacks. Although we ended up eating on the bus due to light rain, it effectively utilized our time. The highlight was visiting Birksdalen Glacier, where we took a troll car (six-person buggy) ride up the mountain trail to get close to the glacier. The pristine fjords, interior lakes, and rushing water made for spectacular views.
The guide was incredible, making for an unforgettable excursion. The town and its surroundings are beautiful. The trip featured traditional snacks, lunch, and visits to stunning photo spots.
