Reviews
The tour was enjoyable in a stunning location, with great bikes. The guide was well-prepared and offered helpful assistance, making for a positive experience overall.
This tour is ideal for cyclists and those in good physical condition. Reaching the top requires effort, but the views make it worthwhile. The group enjoyed three well-timed rest stops, and the descent was thrilling, requiring constant braking. Our guide David was knowledgeable about both the area and the bikes. It would have been helpful if he had provided specific instructions for bike operation in smaller groups of 4-5. Overall, I had no issues with David. It's best suited for individuals who are experienced cyclists and maintain decent fitness levels.
We joined this tour while our ship was docked, and David, our guide, was outstanding. He showed great expertise and prioritized our safety throughout the trip. I would definitely recommend David and would seek him out for future tours. My only suggestion is to improve the clarity of the meeting point.
Travelers should be aware that this bike route is quite demanding, featuring steep mountain roads. It's essential to watch for buses and cars. Participants should have substantial experience with e-bikes and be in great physical condition since the e-bikes require continuous pedaling and cannot rely solely on battery power.
The quality of your experience largely hinges on your guide. Although our cruise ship arrived late, they were accommodating and waited for us. Since this was our first time on E-bikes, the guide provided a brief tutorial but didn't offer tips on maximizing our ride up the fjord. It can be quite physically demanding if you're not adequately prepared.
It was an enjoyable bike ride with a great explanation of the area. Additionally, we appreciated receiving a bottle of apple juice and some chocolate as a treat.
