The small museum in Cherchell features remarkable Roman sculptures and mosaics. Although much of the ancient architecture in the town is lost, it retains a charming, laid-back fishing village feel. The extensive and well-preserved ruins at Tipaza are delightful for a leisurely exploration. Our experience was significantly enhanced by Zaki, our knowledgeable and entertaining Fancyellow guide, who brought the history to life and offered great local food and drink recommendations. Literature enthusiasts should be sure to visit the modest memorial honoring Albert Camus at the edge of the Tipaza site.

This tour offered me an excellent opportunity to delve into the history of the Kingdom of Mauretania and the Mediterranean area. The fusion of nature, history, and local culture was harmoniously presented, and the food was incredibly tasty. Traveling solo would have made it challenging to navigate, but the guided tour allowed me to experience numerous sites smoothly. Although many local attractions have limited English descriptions, the guide's thorough insights provided me with a much richer understanding than I would have attained alone. My gratitude goes to Zaki and Ali for a truly remarkable and enjoyable experience.
