This half-day excursion from Algiers to Tipaza lasts around six hours. You'll meet for departure and take a scenic one-hour drive to reach the site by 10 AM. The tour begins with a walk along the port to see the remnants of Roman and Punic history, moving on to the archaeological site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highlights include the amphitheatre, theatre, Christian basilica, and villa with frescoes, as well as the thermal baths and the inspiration point of Albert Camus.
After exploring, lunch will be provided before a visit to the museum showcasing local artefacts. The tour also includes a stop at the impressive Christian tomb, designed to resemble a pyramidal structure. You'll wrap up the day around 3 PM before returning to Algiers.

This tour is a must-do. I gained a deep understanding of Roman and Berber history while exploring the stunning ruins of Tipaza. Having visited Italy and other locations with Roman influence, I can say this was the highlight. The fish restaurant we dined at was excellent, and the insights provided by our guide Momen and the driver about Algerian music added a unique touch. I highly recommend this experience.
