Jebel Shams

Jebel Shams is the highest peak in Oman, reaching 3,009 metres and known as the "Mountain of the Sun." Situated in the Hajar Mountains, it features dramatic cliffs and rugged terrains, presenting stunning views of the surrounding landscape, including the nearby Wadi Ghul, often referred to as Oman’s Grand Canyon. The best time to visit is during the cooler months, from October to April, when hiking and exploring the area are most enjoyable.
