This site is adorned with forts that extend from the Pavagadh hills into the city. The area's landscape includes archaeological, historical, and living cultural heritage structures such as chalcolithic sites, a hill fortress that was once an early Hindu capital, and the remnants of the 16th-century capital of Gujarat. It contains palaces, entrance gates and arches, mosques, tombs, temples, residential complexes, agricultural buildings, and water structures like stepwells and tanks, dating from the 8th to 14th centuries. • The Kalika Mata Temple, which is an important Hindu shrine, is situated at the summit of Pavagadh Hill, standing at 800 meters (2,600 ft) high. • A mosque built in 1513 took 25 years to construct and is one of the most prominent monuments within the Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park. • There is a helical-shaped stepwell, approximately from the 16th century, constructed with bricks and stone-paved steps.
