This diving experience was truly exceptional. The team's extensive knowledge of the reef and their dedication to its conservation really impressed me. Interacting with them was straightforward and enjoyable. The onboard experience was superb, with small groups and plenty of educational insight about what we were observing. I highly recommend them.
The dive experience in Agnes Water, 1770, was truly exceptional. Carmen and her team excel in providing a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you board their custom dive boat. Exploring the Capricorn Group reefs like Lamont and Llewellyn in the Southern Great Barrier Reef is breathtaking. We have returned multiple times, and it's continually awe-inspiring, often with no other boats in sight. Carmen, Jess, and their team are passionate educators about the GBR ecosystem, making the learning process enjoyable and fostering a deep appreciation for this extraordinary location. Dive Spear and Sport 1770 is definitely worth the trip for unforgettable reef diving that leaves you eager to return.
I highly recommend Dive Spear and Sport 1770. The entire trip was professionally organized and truly unforgettable. The crew, led by Captain Andy, is knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about marine life and safety. Carmen and Jess, both Master Reef Guides, brought incredible energy and expertise about the Reef. The team, including Fred, Harriet, Chris, and Fran, was extremely helpful and shared their insights as well. We dived at both regular and exploratory sites like Lamont, Llewellyn, Boult, and Lady Elliot Reefs in the southern Great Barrier Reef. The weather was perfect, offering clear waters and a wonderful array of marine life. We encountered Green Turtles, Grey Reef and White Tip Reef sharks, Manta Rays, and vibrant fish, making each dive special. Dolphins entertained us during the boat ride, and snorkelers were even joined by a small pod beneath the water. The boat was comfortable and well-equipped for the region. Regardless of your diving experience, this team ensures that you feel confident and well-cared for. It was one of the best diving experiences I've had in Australia, and I look forward to returning.
I just completed an unforgettable three-day diving adventure with Dive Spear and Sport 1770 in Agnes Water. The conditions were ideal, and I encountered wonderful marine life, including manta rays, eagle rays, turtles, sharks, dolphins, sea snakes, and vibrant corals. Carmen, the owner, is not only delightful but also possesses extensive knowledge about the region and the Great Barrier Reef. I highly recommend this experience.
I had a fantastic day with Dive Spear Sport. They organized everything seamlessly from beginning to end, and the crew provided attentive and personal guidance. The equipment was in excellent condition, enhancing our comfort during dives. We encountered stunning marine life, including large turtles and amazing Napoleon wrasse. The lunch served onboard was delicious and more than enough, making for a pleasant break between dives. Overall, it was an outstanding experience and a dive trip I highly recommend.
This was an incredible experience. The small boat had about eight guests, with plenty of attentive staff. They provided clear and detailed explanations of the day's activities and educated us on the local area and reef species. The staff were professional, knowledgeable, and prioritized safety. Throughout the trip, we enjoyed delicious lunches, snacks, and drinks. I completed my Discover Scuba training with Harriet, who was fantastic—her communication was clear, she reviewed everything thoroughly, and we practiced drills in the pool before the dive day. The dives were remarkable; we spotted a small reef shark, an eel, a turtle, sea cucumbers, lionfish, two stingrays, and a wide array of colorful fish and coral. I highly recommend this experience; it’s a 10 out of 10.
