Nature & wildlife · Karnataka
Wildlife, forests, gardens, and the green pockets of Karnataka that make it bearable in monsoon and beautiful by November. Day trips and short drives where the landscape is the point.
1The picture-perfect canvas of Kodachadri Peak, which is encircled by the dense Mookambika National Park, is the ideal location for stargazing. Kodachadri, Karnataka's tenth-highest mountain and one of the most well-known hikes in the Western Ghats, has been designated as a "Natural Heritage Site" by the state government. It is a rather remote area with no light pollution. As a result, it is assured that, under clear skies, one may see the Milky Way Galaxy and numerous constellations clearly without the need for a telescope. Since this summit is located in the western ghats' medicinal plant zone, the night air is frequently scented with the aroma of herbs. The best time to plan this trip is during new moon nights.
2Discover Bangalore's wildlife at Bannerghatta Biological Park, followed by a half-day city tour exploring Lalbagh, Tipu Sultan's Palace, and more. A perfect blend of nature, history, culture awaits!
